The six of us had a lovely birthday weekend here in January. Avery was an excellent host and we were able to get into Lavender Cottage at 2.30 on the Friday. Avery arrived a few minutes later and showed us everything we needed to know. She was most welcoming and helpful, and the cottage is exceptionally well equipped with ample crockery and glasses. We had family over for a birthday tea on Saturday and the 10 adults and three infants all had plenty of space and plates cups and glasses for lots of birthday food.

We had a great, astonishingly sunny and enjoyable Saturday in Lymington and an interesting time at Beaulieu on Sunday, where there was lots to see and do despite the wind and rain. The local takeaways gave us two very good evening meals and the nearby Tesco had everything else we needed. It was a most memorable 40th birthday weekend. Many thanks Avery

Stayed for a lovely weekend with friends - we had a super time. It’s in a perfect location, easy to find things to do or to simply walk from the house into the New Forest or pop to have something to eat or drink. It was incredibly clean and every possible thought had been given to what a guest might need - it would certainly get full marks on any tv show!

What a lovely place to stay, a really nice clean house which ticked all the boxes for a family holiday. It's in a great location with everything you need round the corner, a two minute walk to the woods and 20 minutes in the car to the beach. The owners do really look after the place and I can't think there was anything that was not supplied. The beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed our time here and can highly recommend staying here. We will miss waking up and looking at the ponies out of the window.

Had a lovely 4 days here, Avery has thought of everything to make your stay the best, even down to dog discs to put on the collars while there, comfy,beds, lovely house, & garden , ideal location, I would highly recommend (September2025)

What a wonderful week had with our friends from France. A beautiful cottage in the heart of Brokenhurst . Everything you could have needed was there the cottage was spotlessly clean and tidy ,and the beds were very comfortable. Avery the owner was very helpful and suggested places to visit and recommended places to eat . The kitchen was very well equipped and with the large table was a perfect place to socialise. Nothing to fault this magical place 5stars all the way

We had a wonderful week staying at Lavender Cottage. We were made to feel very welcome by Avery and she shared lots of lovely ideas with us prior to our holiday.
The house is in an excellent location, not only to explore Brockenhurst but the New Forest as a whole.
The house was like a home from home and was very well equipped. We all agreed the beds were the comfiest we've slept in! We highly recommend staying at Lavender cottage and we'd love to return!

This was a great stay. The house was immaculate. Everything you could think of was in the house. The beds were so comfy and towels such good quality... I would definitely give a 5☆ Avery was very kind and very helpful indeed....nothing was too much trouble.

This is a well thought through property and is in an excellent location to walk into Brockenhurst.

The house was beautifully presented and immaculately clean throughout, both inside and outside. The beds were some of the comfiest I've slept in with ample additional bedding and towels provided. The owners could not have been more helpful, from details about the village, local restaurants and cafes, maps for walks with the children as well as a thorough walk through the house to show us how everything worked. What a wonderful base to explore the New Forest which is literally a stone's throw. We would definitely recommend this cottage.
