2026 FIRST PONY FOAL SEEN EARLY THIS YEAR!

I have not yet personally seen any of this year's foals, and as soon as I do, I will post photos here for you if I get any decent photos. It is really important to keep your distance as the mothers can be fiercely protective of their new offspring.

One year about 10 years ago, a mare gave birth to her foal actually just on the grass outside the front gate at Lavender Cottage! I wish I had photos of that. There was a crowd around her, but I was rushing to Lymington hospital with a family emergency!

Very young foals can usually be seen appearing from very early in May each Year, and continue to delight locals and visitors alike, throughout the rest of the year with their cute ways and joyful antics!
